I’ve seen (online) a Panasonic fridge freezer that I really like, for £400. It’s this model BN31AW2:

My question is: Am I opening myself up to a world of misery if it goes wrong? Are parts readily available for this machine, or would they have to be specially ordered from Japan? Or is there some other reason why I shouldn’t get it?

I have seen another one that I would probably buy instead, if the advice is don’t buy the Panasonic. The back-up choice is a Bosch, KGN34NW3AG, which is also £400:

I think I know what answer I’m going to get, but would be interested in the specific reasons why.

Thanks so much for your attention/assistance 🙂

Panasonic I rarely look up, my best guess being low sales volumes so just how easy or hard it is to get parts is a bit of an unknown.

When I have had a call to look it’s been a bit of a mixed bag.

Bosch, on the other hand, I look up all the time and some of the plastics are crazy money, they’re the bits that seem to break or get busted.

    K.
