I have a Bosch washing machine model no; WAE244S0GB/14 which I am going to sell so thought to check the brushes and give the machine a general check.

This machine has had 3 years of use and has been used around 6 days each week, I dont want the new owner who buy it have problems if the brushes fail but not sure how much life these have left.

Any advice on this would be appriciated, Many thanks.

About 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} worn I would say but if you’ve gone as far as taking the motor off you may as well change them.

Thanks Steve, Considering the machine has been used nearly everyday for the last 3 years the brushes have held up well if only at 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} worn. I will be replacing the new machines brushes with genuine Bosch ones when it comes to them needing to be changed.

One thing I like about this machine and the new one I have got one is that the drum splits so if feeling up to the challenge then the drum bearings can be changed compared to a lot of the new machines that have sealed drums.

I bet non genuine brushes wouldn’t last as long as what these have though, Thanks again.
