WM14S79BUK/18 door stuck handle very floppy but interlock is jammed so went no further until I found what was available. first question any ideas how to open the door with a jammed lock the emergency pull by the pump has no effect and can hardly get my hand down to the lock from top? second, the siemans site does not show a handle but does show a hook or a complete door at £136. anyone worked on these?

have double checked you and see what you mean

my way of dealing with this would be to remove the front panel. I know you cannot remove the boot or lock but you can get enough room to get your hand in. a lot of locks of this type need 2 hands to open them. Pull the emergency pull and hold it with one hand and push the hook with the other

The floppy handle is the problem , not the door lock. Make sure the machine is switched onto a program , start it so you hear the door lock. Once it starts , wait a few seconds then press the start button again to pause it. You should hear the lock click unlocked. Turn off the dial. Now , if you pull the handle back as much as it goes , shine a torch into where the lock/handle meet and you should see the metal door hook. You can slip a small long flat bladed screwdriver down the side of the hook and twist it to prise open the hook. The door should just pop open
