    Hi
Hoping for some guidance on my recent second hand purchase of this Siemens unit, model number KA58NA40GB .
Noticed freezer would only get to minus 15 degrees C when set at minus 22, even after 24 hours. Found that the rear evaporator fan was goosed so replaced that, cleaned up the coils etc. Internal fan fine, door seals fine.
Freezes ice fine but as the optimal freeze temp is minus 17 really need this sorting. Coldest fridge will go is 4 degrees, even when 2 degrees is set.
Compressor comes on and off so presumably it thinks its getting to the requested temp, so could this be a thermistor problem, if so, the sensor inside the freezer wall looks difficult to replace, there is also one on the coils behind the inside panel which one? or could it be the main PCB module, or is there one behind the control panel?
    Many thanks

most likely thermistor but its one of those problems where you suck it and see.
siemans tech info is sparse. what you need to know is the resistance of the thermistor at a given temp and be able to measure the temp and resistance to see if it is in spec
dont know complete Enr and i dont do a lot of fridges so could not look up thermistor but if its cheap enough change it
if they use more than 1 of these thermistors in the same unit you could compare them

    hope it halps

    Dave
