I’m looking at the above combi-microwave oven.
When using the microwave, the appliance switches itself off. The timer stops and the machine appears as if the on/off button has been pressed. The machine reverts to showing the time. The On/Off button does not stick.
This can happen anything from 10 seconds to more than 10 minutes (intermittently).
Sometimes the fault does not occur.
    When running it heats OK.
Both fans run OK. When it cuts out it can be run immediately which suggests it’s not related to overheating.
It’s similar to the Magnetron/Invertor board fault but I’ve never known this to be intermittent and the cut-out time is always constant.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you checked the insulation resistance of the elements?

I have a Bosch one on the go with the same symptoms so just before christmas I disconnected the cooker elements as both were low (but not a fail) on the insulation resistance and it has apparently been running fine since then.

Insulation on the grill element was 24M’Ohm, do you think that would be enough to cause this?

I don’t know but the one that I have been dealing with was down to around 3Mohm, it could be dropping when it warms up.
