Hi guys,
Got a strange one, dishwasher will start cycle for a minute, then fault come up for pump/fill
Changed reed switch, pumps completely clear but still does it, have found that if I quickly open and shut door when it should be filling it start to fill and wash normally
Any ideas would be great

It can be the door latch unit or the door hinges that cause this.

Is it assuming door isn’t shut properly ?
Seems very strange that it starts okDecember 1, 2015 at 6:59 pm #433267nomadPaul

Is the error code e24 ? The following is the start up procedure for the appliance.
1. Pumps for approx 30-60 seconds.
2. Heat pump then operates for about 10 secs.
3. Short burst of water during which water flow rate is calculated.
4. Machine then starts filling. If it only reaches stage 1 and then fails , it could be a no or slow draining fault ( check drain pump access cover is fully clicked in)
If it reaches stage 2 but the heat pump runs for approx 30s then it switches to pumping out again,I’d suggest the heat pump is faulty.
If it reaches stage 3 and the initial fill goes on and on then it’s probably a fill problem.

Hi Paul
That’s great, doesn’t show an error code just the tap and salt light on. It sometimes goes to 3 but then onto heat pump with no water, it was by mistake that I found at this point if I opened door and shut again it would fill normallyDecember 1, 2015 at 7:49 pm #433269nomadPaul

I should add that this is on the quick wash cycle. The machine is doing loads of little checks on the drain pump, heat pump , water levels Tec. Oftentimes if you ask me but I’d hazard a guess the heat pump may be at fault. Does it sound particularly noisy when the heat pump kicks in ? Any obstruction/foreign object caught in the heat pump impeller can cause the fault as described. A word of caution though. The error that you’re getting is notoriously difficult to get to the bottom of . The heat pumps aren’t cheap in the case of a mis-diagnosis.

Yea I know they are Paul which is why I want to be sure, pump did sound a little noisy but not too bad. Think I’ll double check blockages in the heat pumps.
Thanks for the adviceDecember 3, 2015 at 2:35 pm #433271Andy jones

Quick update one of the strangest I’ve had in a while.
Been back and double check both pumps and both seem OK
Only way to get it started is to quickly open and shut door during the initial test and it carries on through the complete cycle no problem.
Not sure what the next course of action will be -
