Hi all, we have a Siemens S9LT1S dishwasher that’s had about 9 or 10 years of trouble free use. At the weekend I noticed that every now and then the machine has a distinct electrical type hum. It is certainly noticeable after selecting a programme when the hum comes on for a minute or two then goes as the machine starts working. Opening the door interrupts the hum which comes back as the door is shut. Sometimes, the pots are not cleaned properly. I imagine it is the water inlet valve that is developing a fault but I don’t know for sure. Any other suspects? I could change the inlet valve I think, but I do not want to buy a spare and find I have wasted my money! Thanks.
Re: Siemens dishwasher "hum" after selecting programme?
Thanks. Definitely no problem pumping out. I have repostioned the machine and the hum seems to have gone. However, I have found this evening that on a 55 to 60 Deg C wash, if I open the door and put my hand into the water it is only luke warm. I would have expected the water to be much hotter half way through the wash cycle? Thanks.
