Don’t laugh but my Mum ( honest ) decided to wash some candles in her dishwasher. The moment she said it I said WHY ??? but anyway she’s says she done it before but always on a cool temperature and reckons she’s had no problems.

This time around though she managed to get the temperature too high and the candles melted …. didn’t take too much working out that this could have happened and I can’t believe her for doing it in the 1st place.

Anway the machine now will not complete a cycle. She’s had the machine out and has tried to clean it out as best as possible using boiling hot water etc.

No doubt wax has got into places where it shouldn’t be and this is causing the problem. 🙄

I’ve volunteered to take it apart and see if I can work out what’s happened – any ideas on where I should be checking ?

    Wow!

You got a tricky one there Lee, It’s the first case of its kind we have heard of! First place to look would be the drain pump, I would imagine. Possibly the wax may have solidified within the pump area. A good place to start at least.

Boiling hot water will help, the only difficulty is that you have to then clear the water to inspect and that will be a problem if the drain pump doesn’t work?

    Best of luck!
