Siemens Dishwasher SE26230GB/07

Hello,
After working perfectly for several years, my Siemens dishwasher has suddenly packed up. When I try to start any programme, it shows a number 1 and nothing happens, no water, no noise. Is this an error code? What might it suggest is wrong? I’d be very grateful for any clues/advice before I resort to calling an engineer. Many thanks

Alison,

First thing to try at this stage is to ‘reset’ the programme. 😉 From memory, with the machine turned on, press the 2nd and 4th buttons together and hold for 2 seconds. That should turn on the drain pump for 60 seconds then turn off!

Then try a programme, see if it works 🙂

It worked! That’s fantastic…thank you very much. How come such a simple solution is not included in the manual, I wonder. It seems slightly noisier than before but that could be my imagination after not hearing it for a couple of days.
