ParticipantFitted a new power module to this dishwasher at the end of May this year to cure a no heat fault. Customer now reports poor wash performance on the sensor cycles, claiming not enough heat being the problem.
In my opinion the cause of the problem is the soap dispenser which does not work so she places the tablet at the bottom of the dishwasher before starting a program.
Works fine on the quick wash as it goes straight into heat with no diluting of the tablet with a cold rinse first.
She seems reluctant to accept this as she was using this method before the previous module failed.
I have set up the salt and rinse aid to correct settings for our area, the side tank and tank to sump hose are also clear.
I am going to sit through a complete sensor cycle on Tues and make note of the temperatures and how much of the tablet is left after the pre rinse phase.
Any suggestions would be great plus some technical info, test cycles, etcThanks Graham

did you configure the module correctly? if not what may appear to be a sensor wash is just a 35degree quickwash or something. Just a suggestion as I had similar in the past.

I dont think this module has to be configured as there was no instructions in the box.

No configuration required for Power Module. Seems like a turbidity sensor problem to me rather than a heating issue. However, I think you’ll find that there’s no cold pre-rinse at the start of a ‘Quick wash’ as it goes straight into main wash and heats the moment the circulation pump starts up!

ParticipantIf the dispenser drawer doesn’t work…..is the rinse aid being dispensed in the main wash rather than the end of the rinse cycle ?

It`s just the sliding soap draw that has broken, rinse aid seems fine.
Thanks Graham

Sat through the auto wash cycle today nearly 2 hrs!
00.00 mins- Starts and fills to correct level.
20.00 mins -heater on
35.00 mins- heater off. Water Temp 50 Degrees
75 mins- Starts cold rinse
90 mins- Hot rinse at 68 Degrees
110 mins heater off and wash ends.Went back 2 hrs later to check if it had dried ok and I must admit the interior of the machine was quite wet.
But the customers claim that it does not get hot enough on this cycle is incorrect I feel.
She is convinced the problem is the new board I have fitted but on todays tests I cannot see this is the case.
Tried it on the quick wash and it seemed to dry better with only the left hand side ot the inner cabinet being wet.
Rinse aid set on 4, salt set on 5, drying set on normal.Any more suggestion please.

Went back today and drained off all the rinse aid from the dispenser and replaced it with Finish rinse aid. She was using Sainsbury`s own brand.
I also gave her a box of Finish powder.
Told her to give that a try but if no better to call Siemens, I have done all I can really 😕
She did not seem that unhappy as she insisted on giving me £50 for my time. 🙂
Still I always learn something on jobs like this. Thanks for all your help everyone
