ParticipantHi,
I’ve been out to a customer today who has a Siemens Integrated dishwasher SN65E000GB/17. Its the new version of the machine. It starts the programme, empties for 30 seconds, then fills with water for a while and then starts to empty while beeping. It then sounds as though it is filling and emptying at the same time if you left it. If you open the door the brush symbol is flashing.
I fit a pump to this machine a few months ago, and have checked for blockages etc but its not that. Most of these machines that I have seen over the last couple of years are always pump or door lock faults but i’m just a bit stuck on this. It does drain fine but just faults when its filling.
I’m not too sure if its a filling fault but if somebody could shed any light on this fault for me it would really be appreciated.Cheers
Nick

Try replacing the reed switch in the metering tank.

Thanks for that Martin. Is that what the flashing brush symbol signifies. The reed switch can be swapped separately from the metering tank can it, unlike the Wpool machines of past.
I’ve also heard about an optical water lens, does this particular model have one of these?
Do you have a part number, nothing come up on a quick search on connect, masterpart and Qualtex.Does anybody have a manual for me to look through for this dishwasher, would really be helpful to get to know it.
Many thanks

Go direct to the Siemens spare parts website to see the part you need.

The reed switch / pcb just unclips from the plastic unit. You normally get a sheet with it showing you how to do it. No need to remove any plastic bits!

Listed under ‘Bosch SMS series codes’ in known error codes thread. 😉

The SMS has error codes of E:01 thru E:28 but my dishwasher doesn’t have a led display.
Does it go by the number of times the brush light flashes then, it didn’t look like any noticeable sequence to me. Just a steady on/off all the time.August 21, 2014 at 11:53 am #417984Martin

Yes the brush (wash) icon is an error code.
