ParticipantHi, my 4 year old Siemens dishwasher SN65M031GB/14 has started to leak from the front right side beneath the door, and drips from where the cables attach (see first photo). My first thought is a lower door seal, but I can also see a small amount of water trickling into the under tray at the front right hand edge (see second photo) which makes me wonder whether something else is going on. Anyone else experienced/fixed this issue? Thanks.

clean under the lower door seal plus check the rotating bars for blocked holes
be careful when you load it in case any of the dishes redirect the water into the corner
I assume all the basket wheels are there
what we are looking for is something that will force pressurised water into the corner. if the bars don’t turn properly due to blockages then its possible the br lingers too long in one place forcing a leak

Hi Dave, I gave the inside of the dishwasher a good clean, although it was pretty clean already. I also checked the rotating spray bars are properly seated and unblocked, and all was as it should be. The wheels are also present and damage free, but it still leaks! Interestingly, we put the cutlery basket in the front right corner so I guess this would stop water jets directly hitting the seals. What’s bothering me most is the seep of water inside the bottom front corner of the machine as i’ve no idea where this is coming from. If this could also be due to a bad door seal then I’d happily change it speculatively, but I also want to avoid spending if this won’t fix it. Thanks again.

I would mop it out and see how it goes. I often get a flooded bas with no apparent cause so if it happens once every so often there may be an intermittent fault such as excessive foaming.
see how it goes. it may be the door seal but I would not expect a 4 year old model to need one. what does worry me on this model is it is the cheap model with the plastic base. These have a habit of leaking between the plastic and metal join. if that happens its time to quit.Dave

Thanks Dave. I suspect it’s time for a new machine. Cheers, Rich
