Siemens Dishwasher, SN65N031GB/07, stops with water in bottom suggesting a problem with drain pump but no error code displayed or other LED indicators lit when stopped. In this state it is even unresponsive to on/off.
Cleaned out filters and sump and behind white drain pump cover, removed Almonds !! Machine then started a programme but later stopped with same symptoms as before.
Each time machine stops it displays nothing but when sump cleaned machine comes alive but never any Error Code displayed.
Pressing Reset for >3 secs resulted in ‘1’ only being displayed.
    1. Any ideas why no error or LED is being displayed?
    2. I suspect drain pump may be faulty. Is this possible given no error code? How?
    3. Is it possible that pump is overheating and reason for no LEDs or fault indication is that there is a protective device temporarily isolating the machine from mains power ?

Not originally, it was blocked with almonds! Now it is clear and turns freely.

when you start a new programme the first thing any dishwasher does is run the pump. put a pan of water in, start a new programme ( you may have to cancel the last one ) and see if it pumps that water out
