Siemens dishwasher will not pump out – somethimes

Hi. Any help appreciated. Simens SN25314GB. 14 years old? Dishwasher will not pump out on occasions otherwise it works great. No pumping out at start occasionally. Advancing at the control sometimes works in that cycle completes and sump is empty. Have pump out and impeller flicks round. Non return valve on waste outlet not stuck. No unusual noises. Flushed impeller housing and only few grains of rice. Have run cleaner pack through in case of gunge.
Is it pump not getting the instruction to run? Float switch issue? Thanks in anticipation. Rob

When you get a ‘no pump’ situation at the start of the programme can your hear a faint humming noise. If so then its possible the pump is worn and siezing intermittantly.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, instead of the pump running noise there is a hum as you say. New Pump?

Worth a shot. This type of pump can sieze intermittantly if worn.
