….less clean than one would hope. Customer mentioned a “film” on them.
After checking board and finding nothing visible, I uninstalled it and ran it with side panels off and my meter monitoring voltage at heater terminals. This has always been plumbed into the hot water system for no known reason, so uses hot water from the adjacent gas boiler. Perhaps for this reason all internals are very clean. It is defo not underfilling, arms are changing over all normally, no blockages anywhere (except the usual dark matter at the very top of the matrix.) Heater comes on for 10 mins or more during main wash (50*C) then shuts off when it’s hot enough. I didn’t have time to hang around to wait for final rinse so reinstalled it and left customer to check again through fully loaded cycle in the hope that it might be one of those that magically repairs itself once messed about with. No such luck. Have received report of no change.
Customer had always used cheapo Lidl tabs and found them fine but tried Finish ones and it didn’t make any difference. We have soft water here, no scale ever. I can’t imagine that the water won’t be heating (65*C) during final rinse but could I be wrong on that?
Maybe 💡 I’ll leave them a meter with thermocouple so they can monitor that themselves. Hmm. that should keep them happy for a day or two while I sleep on it or one of you brilliant Bosch techies comes up with the answer.
