Hi
My washing machine is not filling with water. When I turn it on there is a slight ‘click’ sound but nothing further happens. All the lights are on. Having tried it several times I checked the filter at the bottom and some water came out; after this, the first time I tried again I could hear a bit of water coming into the machine but it stopped very quickly. Has anyone any ideas?
It could be a fault with the inlet/safety valve (fill hose unit)? Try disconnecting the hose and the reconnect and turn water supply on again, see what happens?
We wriggled the pipes about at the back to make sure there were no kinks and it filled and washed but didn’t advance to spin. Manually moved it on to the spin cycle and it won’t spin now. At what point does the machine become unfixable? I am not sure how long we’ve had this machine and am reluctant to pay a call out charge to be told it is dead!
Sounds like you need only check that the pump works and it drains by itself fully. You didn’t supply the FULL Enr number that would have allowed me to tell how old it was by the way.
Call out charges from local repairers are not prohibitively expensive and well worth considering.
