Siemens Extraklasse 1300 not drying

Hi,

My Siemens Extraklasse 1300 has stopped drying clothes. The fan seems to work as the machine top get’s hot along the route of the fan’s pipe/exhaust into the machine, and the clothes have some warmth to them as if they have been blown with hot air, but they don’t get any drier.

Just wondering if anyone might have any ideas what the problem could be and how I can mend it?

Sorry about that. I did see the sticky topic after I posted and meant to add the model number when I got home.

Sticker on the inside of the door says:

Hot nd steamy? If you have airflow and heat, the problem is probably the cold water valve. One coil supplies a constant trickle of cold water into the condenser housing to flash the steam back to water.

Inlet valve is p/no 261882. Be very sure that this what you need, as the valve is the best part of £70. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly if it’s the part required.

My missus said it wasn’t getting steamy but I thought I’d verify that before posting back.

I can confirm, not steamy. I ran a 15 min cycle to check it earlier with just a couple of my daughter’s cotton muslins in. They actually came out quite dry by the end of it.

So I guess that means the problem must be either not enough airflow or heat? It obviously has both but I guess one must be lacking ……….
