ParticipantWent to a Siemens F/Fzr this afternoon (KG39NVW30G/01).
PCB/ control module at the top had gone down so I phone my local supplier and was happy to find out that it was a reasonable £80 retail. Great I thought, customer will be very happy at that price.
Only to find that the part is no longer available 🙁 Siemens have made it obsolete after only five years!
I thought they had to stock parts for seven years minimum?December 2, 2016 at 6:17 pm #443290Martin

The part is still available. It forms part now of the full console assembly. Please reorder : 00705779

Thanks Martin, I was given the part no. 705702. Does that correspond with your info, and is the price still the same?
I’ll ring the customer up and give him the good news.
Thanks again.

Still obsolete when we try to order new part no.

No.
There is no legal requirement to stock spare parts for any period of time at all, a total myth.

I don’t know what to think now.
Wonder if that’s old stock, or when you actually order it the basket shows up as not available (Like it does on BSH)?I’m waiting on the customer to get back to me after he’s contacted Siemens. See what they say.

I do. I have an account with them (BSH) and not only does my log-in account say that the part is in stock but I rang them and (no prizes for guessing) it’s in stock….!

Thanks (again) Martin, and the rest of those that helped.
I’ll contact my supplier tomorrow and see what the hell is going on. I’ve never had this before, they’re normally very good, but they insisted that it was not available at all.
Probably cost me a job, not happy 🙁Trevor
