    Hi

I have a Siemens SE64630/17 dishwasher which won’t start. After I press to two buttons on top which indicate reset, the ‘end’ light comes on, i shut the door, then it sounds like it’s starting for about 20secs and sounds like it’s draining. After, nothing. Then when I shut the door again there’s just a humm.

There was water in the bottom which I’ve scooped out. The spinning fan thing under the cover at the bottom rotates easily but is not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} free spinning, sort of clicks to a stop.

    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

    Re: Siemens Fault

The base of the dishwasher is flooded and the anti flood switch has activated the drain pump to prevent flooding. You’ll need to remove the plinth and side panels and see what’s causing the leak.

But first you’ll need to unplug it from the power and carefully – slowly tip it backwards to drain off the water in the base tray. ( Have towels handy, and do not tip it frontwards or sideways under any circumstances).

    Have fun!
