Been looking for a larger fridge – family of 4 with two fast growing milk/yoghurt guzzling toddler/baby. Had initially looked at Hotpoint FF200 or FFB6200 as in terms of our requirements they ticked all the boxes, but seems like general opinion on here (and review sites) is to steer well clear. I have just come across Siemens KG49NP3GB in a magazine and it has similar spec to Hotpoint in terms of height and interior ratio. Have found a few reviews online, all good but it is a relatively new model! Just wondered what people think of Siemens in general for reliability, customer service etc and anyone know of any problems with this particular model.
Looking for 200cm fridge freezer, approx 60/40 fridge to freezer, CHILD LOCK, plenty door space for milk, door alarm, spacious veg/fruit basket, meat/fish chill, pref frost free. no water dispenser. Other recommendations welcome.
I would really appreciate advice on this as it is £200 more than we first budgeted for – Boots @ £848 with 5 year warranty. Many thanks.

    Hi Skatterbol

Deffinately the Siemens everytime, far better than the Hotpoint range, less fussy inside and a higher spec. With a five year warranty to boot I don`t think you are going to get a better deal for your money.

    Hi Don
Thanks for reassurance, been looking around for a few months but all the ff I’d looked at in £600 range mostly all had shocking reviews especially the Hotpoint! Looking around on this site it seems Siemens has a better track record than others and the extra cost will hopefully be worth it, with a 5 year warranty they must be confident it will last!
Cheers think I’ll go ahead and purchase.
Great site by the by, lots of useful info and advice.
    Regards
