Hi there
Can anyone help me with this. We have a Siemens built in integrated fridge freezer KI26U444BG which until recently has been completely problem free.
It has developed a fault in that the freezer is now not freezing. We have been told by an engineer that the NTC sensor is faulty but that it cannot be accessed, the unit can’t be repaired and we have to buy a new one.
I have looked online on this website though and seen that there is a NTC temperatures sensor service kit (429667) for this model. Can anyone help me understand whether I can use this kit to repair the fault and if so why have I been told differently. I have read on this forum that the kit appears to be something that overrides the circuit due to the sensors being foam and embedded into the unit but that the kit is still an effective solution to make the unit work properly. Is this correct?Thank you
