    Hi,

I have a 2 year old Siemens Oven and this morning when I switched it on within about 10 – 15 seconds the Main house RCD Blew, I reset the RCD however the same happened again after about 15 seconds. I confirmed it was the oven after a few simple tests, and pulled the oven out and ran some basic checks (Short to Earth etc) using a standard multimeter – not a mega.

It seems that – from reading posts on this forum – the main fan heating element may be faulty (happy to be corrected on this one).

The question I have is will the heating element listed in the Shop@ section for Bosch, Neff and Siemens (ELE2044) be a suitable replacement as my model number is not listed on the page.

The exact information on the rating plate is as follows:

    E-Nr: HB131550B/01
    FD: 8310 00273

Thanks in advance for your help and advice
    Jason

Your element is p/no 443526, about £29 + VAT & p+p. It is not any of the ones listed in shop@.

An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for confirmed prices and ordering.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

Pengiun45 – thank you for your prompt reply, I have sent a mail to Spares as suggested.

Is there anything else I should be looking at which may manifest the same fault – or is it likely that the element would be causing the problem.

    Thanks again
    Jason

If all other functions operate correctly; ie grill, fan, cooling fan, timer there’s not much else left to choose!
