Advice needed . Daughter rang me to say oven had caused the mains to trip . When re-set oven not working ! . Clock ok on turning the knobs the bottom plate of oven appears to get warm and can hear fan type noise but the top element is stone cold on any setting . Is it likely to be grill element or is further investigation needed before ordering replacement Thanks

It is always advisable to test any component before blindly ordering a replacement.

The oven needs to be isolated from the mains and the element checked with a meggar or suitable multimeter first.
