Sounds odd to me that this thing locks the door on you. Maybe that’s a safety feature to stop you getting burned?
I thought some oven/grill combos are meant to have the door left open when using grill. Have you RTM?

Just purely a guess from me but it wouldn’t be that the grill element has an earth leak maybe? 😕

    Re: Siemens HB750

Error 15 – If the actual temperature is above 380°C, the heating elements switch off and the oven is locked. The oven door does not unlock until the temperature drops below 300°C again. (appliances with pyrolysis)
The error message is by deleted start from the customer service test program.
If the temp is no where near 380, then I would assume PTC gone west 😉

Fitted new PTC. This happens after grill has been on full setting for 5 mins, In service mode it dosn’t show any temp until door unlocks then shows 280 but can oven get to 300 in 5 mins? What controls locking of door is it PTC. The grill element stays on full red for the 5 mins its on should it cycle.

Possible a module or as Martin suggested earth leakage on grill element IMO
