Meggered the oven and all elements etc test fine apart from the little power PCB. This has an earth connection but is otherwise insulated. From this pcb there are a couple of connections which appear fine but the 5 way connector to the large control?? pcb on the top of the oven when connected gives an earth short to the elements. Without the 5 way connected everything test fine.
Ordered the small pcb (from Connect) but it arrived with a green packaging split label on it and the same fault. Thinking this was a dodgy returned faulty part I reordered….guess what, same fault.
Anyone else had this or has anyone a suggestion other than bin it.

    Ta in advance chaps.

by the look of it small pcb is a power supply to the unit. cant see the earth cable on this causing the problem
also the trip will not go unless you get over 30ma to earth so a couple of megs to earth is ok

have you tried a long shot and connected the oven to another socket?

It’s a lot less than a couple of Meg…nearly a full short to earth:-(

if it were me I would disconnect all elements, fans and the lamp and see what happens then

    Hi
Did you ever get to the bottom of this one?
I have the same issue and also tried a new power pcb and still have the same problem. The oven turns on and interior light comes on but as soon as the control pcb relay clicks it trips. I thought I would see what happens if I disconnected the earth wire to the power pcb but one of the relays on the control pcb went pop.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Dave
