ParticipantHi Folks.
One for the Bosch Boys……
Firstly this model does not appear on the BSH website. I spoke to BSH, who were able to access the info by leaving the “N” out of the model number.
I have fitted two sets of door hinges to this dishwasher since the begining of march. These are the 260798/260797 standard hinges I carry as van stock. (According to the website the correct hinges for this model.) On each occasion the springs on the hinges have relaxed allowing the door not to close by 10-20mm. I fitted the last pair about 3weeks ago and the customer advises that the problem is back again. The oven is in a guest house so is subjected to a bit of extra use, but 3 weeks !. I have considered changing the hinge bearings but they look in perfect condition.
Anyone else had this problem or got any ideas?
Regards, Mike

Siemens model numbers usually start with 2 letters, Bosch 3 and Neff 1
Are they Patten parts or gen?
As long as the hinge carriers are o.k. I think it must be down to either items placed on the open door or throwing the door open.
I have seen open oven doors used as a step by the little darlings.

Thanks for your prompt response BSH-Man.
Useful info re the model numbers, this is definately the number on the oven in question, both myself and the customer are in agreement after both checking the number twice, just done to confuse i suppose.
The hinges i have fitted are definately genuine, I dont think I have seen pattern ones available, might be wrong.
I guess we will have to take a closer look at the hinge carriers.
Thanks for your help,
Regards, mike

Hi
By omiting the ‘N’ on my quickfinder I get the same part numbers, As BSH man says its only down to branding, its the same unit mechanically.
It is however a heavy door and would be inclined to change the bearings especially if some lovely little brat has forced it previously.
I have had it before where hinges have been changed on the first call and endup going back a week later for same fault but end up changing both bearings and hinges again as another set of hinges fail to do the job, weird 😕

Could the non-replacable hinge carrier be bent out at the top? Try a little “technical adjustment” and knock it back in about a mm or so. Have found this problem allows the door to not close properly although initially the new hinges give the impression of everything being ok.
