Siemens Hood…Dead

    Hi All

    Merry Christmas (ba humbug 😀 0

    Siemens hood has given up (FD8005213001) no signs of life when trying to use the lights or 3 speed fan, I have replaced the bulbs but no lights etc. the unit is wired to a triple wall switch that has two other appliances working from it(dont really want to start removing wall swith) any ideas much appreciated

    Hi

    A lot of hoods have a wall socket or switch above the cupboard space or inside cupboards close by.

    As washman says , there will probably be a plug and socket somewhere close to the hood…..may even be behind the extractor chimney if it has one . A lamp blowing in these appliances can take out a plug fuse , especially as they’re only 3A. Find the plug and you’ll probably find the problem

    Thanks guys hidden plug was the problem will now be able to see whats happening when Im slaving over a hot stove tomorrow haha
