Hi all, got a problem with a Siemens IQ300, model number WM12Q391 GB.
E23 showing on display, according to manual is a pump problem. I opened and cleaned the pump and sump hose, just 2 small hairclips and some fluff which were not obstructing the impellor anyway. Back together but when I select any wash the pump runs, E23 is displayed still and nothing else happens. When I switch it off the door will not open after 2/3 minutes and needs to be opened manually by pulling on the plastic tie provided.
It’s seems the module is being fooled into thinking that there is still water in the drum or sump and refuses to open the door.
I have tried the reset procedure,as per YouTube, but am I using the correct one.
    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

    RTFM again…..!! 😉 :rtm:
Then check the anti-flood device carefully

Thanks for reply. My manual said it was a blocked pump of pump relay problem.
I put 5 litres of clean water in the drum, unscrewed the drain plug and it all flowed out. So no obstruction. Removed the large black drain hose, sump is clean,as is the grey drainpipe. The small hose from the sump to the pressure switch is also free.
No other Anti-Flood device that I can see. Heater element is also ok.
After these checks still have E23.

Oh fuff! I was quoting from the manual on the assumption there was an anti-flood device fitted. But since your reply I have checked and it doesn’t have one! (Double fuff).

OK, next brainwave from me is maybe the analogue pressure switch system is playing up? (Blocked air pressure chamber, that sort of area?)…..where is nomadPaul when you need him anyway. 😉

    Re: Siemens IQ300 E23

Thanks again Martin. I was suspicious of the doorlock, bit cheepish looking on this model, just clipped in place,no screws. However it is locking but the module is refusing to unlock it as it thinks there is water in the drum. I blew air through the small hose to the pressure chamber, no blockage, but as you say, maybe the pressure switch is acting up.
