I have a Siemens IQ300 E-Nr WM12P360GB/03 Washing Machine, unfortunately it has developed a fault within the drum, sounds like a freight train is in my kitchen when the drum spins ! There is a definite metal on metal sound… I have narrowed the fault down to the bearings ? I have had the back off and removed the drive belt and belt support plate. I then removed the 24mm centre nut with a torque wrench but unfortunately I cannot see how to replace the faulty bearings . Looks like I would have to remove the rubber door seal at the front of the m/c and remove the drum through the front to gain access to the roller bearings ? Are these bearings removable or do I need a new drum /bearing assembly ? I am a toolmaker so I have some engineering experience but I’ve never had to replace drum bearings before on a washing machine. Any help gratefully received, thanks.
