I have a siemens iq700 washing machine with the auto soap and softener dispensers. Soap level goes down as expected, but softener never moves. I have the dosage set correctly. I suspect it may be a clogged pump. Does anyone know what voltage these pumps work on? I’d like to test it before I dismantle to see if it can be salvaged.
    Many thanks

The water inlet/aquastop unit is not a serviceable item and very costly to replace too. I suspect the iDos dispenser unit is clogged and needs stripping and cleaning. The whole system is flawed it must be said as too many factors are in place to make it reliable. Not least this hot weather will easily allow the nozzles to clog and the liquid itself to congeal.

Not much help I know, sorry about that. The link below sheds some light on how we, in the trade, view these auto-dosing systems. 🙁

Thanks very much for that. Yes, the softener pump is clogged, and the softener is congealed. So I’ll strip it down and see what I can do. Can’t get any worse!

Should you be able to move the cogs by hand, have you tried doing that with the still working pump to confirm they are not prevented from turning due to their gearing and the design of the motor.

I would check the electrical connectors for corrosion. In the back of the draw they’ll be exposed to humid warm air.
