    Model HF26056EU/04
Symptom; shuts off after approx 20sec, jumps back to clock.

It does this in normal heating mode, as well as in defreezing mode.

    Thanks for any pointers.

Have tried letting the micro be without power for a while. This did not help.

Officially , there aren’t any customer serviceable parts in your microwave . This is due to the fact that even when unplugged , there are components within the machine that can be lethal. However , i will also warn you that best case scenario on cost of ‘probable’ parts required is approx £135….worst cae scenario for parts is £300 . Its not a machine to be messed with tbh and if you really want it fixed , you’d be better off finding a local appliance engineer .

I can understand the official policy, however a unit of this cost with 2 years of age seems stupid to not fix.

Surely if the micro heats this must be a sensor/regulation issue?

what akes you think its heating ? And if you watch the timer , it’ll be 23 secs……this is a ‘set’ time for a fault detected by the appliance where its not detecting any microwave production.
