ParticipantEvening all,
Wondering if anyone can advise on a problem’s with the above m/c?
Customer reported no heat fault, and tripping out.
Visited today to investigate.
Upon testing, the m/c is in “safety” mode; i.e. continuously in drain mode, due to water in base of unit.
Unfortunately, unable to locate leak after drying out, as m/c remaining in drain mode.
Water not entering m/c, yet re-circulation/wash pump also operating.
Electronic unit appears ok, no error codes present either.
Any help/advice appreciated, as not much dishwasher experience.
regards,
jonty

Have you tried resetting the programme?

No,
Could you provide the sequence to re-set electronics?

With the machine switched on press the two buttons together marked ‘Reset’. Then the drain pump should run for 60 secs then turn off. Your ” electronics” are then reset….simples! 😀
But, I have to say from what you say of the water in the base and RCD tripping that that is the least of this machines problems. 🙁

Agreed,
Will carry out re-set, and go from there.
Thanks Martin,

Good morning,
Have now re-set electronics, and set up test at workshop.
Machine will now operate at a reduced efficiency, notable by much less than normal amount of water being admitted, thus wash pump barely
managing to spin spray arms.Heating up fine, and hasn’t tripped out.
Unable to locate an impellor jug, which I understand can cause this problem, and wonder if there is a different device on this m.c?

No Impellor jug on this machine. During fill does the heat exchanger/fill matrix fully fill then syphon into the tub OK?

Check the pipe running from the pressure chamber to the pump to make sure the pipe is clear..
Check the prssure chamber is not faultering 497570
Make sure the appliance is level otherwise it will under-fill and cause the issue you have reported.

Now that’s a new one on me George. How does the machine’s level cause under fill?

Not exactly sure but I had the same problem when testing a bosch the other day… The problem I had was a gunged-up pipe and gunged-up pressure chamber and when both were sorted I then put the machine on test only to find that it then had a low water problem..
I then moved the machine to where it was a little warmer as it was starting to get cold. This area was a little more levelled and when I tried the machine again the problem had disappeared.. this did suprise me so I put the head of the hammer under the back end of the machine to test what I was seeing and low and behold, the the low water situation returned.Maybe any of the bosch guys can explain.

Good morning,
Still struggling to get dishwasher to wash consistently.
The matrix does not fill fully as Martin enquired, and wonder if this is the underlying cause?
Where should I be checking as matrix is clear/unblocked, as is pipe from pressure chamber to pump.

In a word, yes. 😉
First we must establish that there is sufficient water pressure and that the valve filter isn’t clogged. Set the machine on a ‘Prerinse’ cycle ensuring first the pressure switch micro switch is closed ( not tripped at this point). Once the 60 seconds drain sequence completes the water should rush into the heat exchanger at a fair rate right up to the overflow channel and into the tub. All the while the pressure switch micro should remain closed and then the back flow of water within the pressure chamber should activate the pressure switch bellows sufficient to open the micro switch.
The PCB regulates when the inlet valve switches off as it calculates the period between the inlet valve opening and the pressure switch micro switch operating. And if the PCB shuts the valve off before that process has completed then the PCB is at fault.
