ParticipantHi guys
Been to this Siemens dishwasher today. The customer said it wasn’t washing very well and the tablet wasn’t dissolving.
I thought it would probably be something to do with the water level but that is fine.
When i first tried it there was no water coming out of the top spray arm, just the bottom. When I removed the top basket there was still no water coming out. But it was shooting out of the bottom.
The next time I tried it there was water just trickleing out of both spray arms.
The water level is fine and the motor is running.
Anybody any suggestions? Many thanks in advance.

The diverter unit (water point device) within the instantaneous heater has failed. Therefore you need to quote for fitting a new heater. 100’s of posts on the subject using ‘search’ by the way.

I’ve just found all the other posts. Thanks for the advice.
My next question is how hard is this part to replace? Can it be done by just taking the right side panel off?May 24, 2012 at 8:05 pm #375368pmb

Hi no you need to take off both side panels, door panel, kick plate and panel behind. Then lay machine on back and remove base to replace heater assembly. It is a fiddly job first time but gets easier with practice good luck 🙂

Can I suggest you DON’T DO THAT but rather follow THIS TIP, TRICK & SHORTCUT instead.
By laying the machine on its back the entire contents of the salt reservoir will spill out, the inner door panel wiring will get yanked and goodness knows what other problems would ensue as a result? 😕
