ParticipantDoes anybody know how to get to this drain pump please, I need to change it and thought I could just remove a panel on the underneath but it doesn’t look that simple and I don’t want to end up doing more harm than good.
It is a 2007 model if that makes any difference. Thanks,
Mark .Y.

I have tried that mate, there doesn’t seem to be anything stuck there. Impeller spins freely, I frigged the door catch so I could see inside the machine and put it on a rinse wash, I believe the drain pump should have cut in for a short time at the very beginning of the programme but it didn’t move hence I think it is not working properly.
Thanks for your reply,Mark .Y.

you have not posted complete model but from what i can see try the following I have looked up model SE25M851GB/79
remove the lefthand side of the dishwasher
looking at the side you will see a chamber and just to the right you will see a red rod going vertically from a polstyrene float to a switch. if you lift that rod with machine switched on the pump will run.
be aware there may be exposed live connection on some of the switches so be carefulif pump now runs its not the pump.
if you go here
http://www.siemens-home.co.uk/store/spareparts/search
put in you complete Enrlook at diagram on page 4 chamber is item 0410 switch is item 0421
the rod is item 0526 on page 5Dave

OK, so did all that and owe you one…… pump did work and then after further investigation I found a large piece of rubbish within it.
However, the second part of my problem is the machine is not filling up – I guess this means the “aquastop” valve might be u/s ??
Is there any maintenance that can be done on them as they are quite expensive as far as I can see.
Thanks,
Mark .Y.

Not necessarily, the base tray may be flooded? The inlet solenoid in the water softener could be sticking? Or the aqua stop may just need venting?( i.e disconnect the inlet hose and reconnect ) Maybe something simple like the stop cock isn’t turned on?Check all if the above before condemning the aqua stop I would suggest.

Well, thanks to Martin and Dave, my dishwasher is now working again.
Have to be honest and say I’m not sure exactly what was wrong but I took the aquastop valve off – it seemed OK, put it back on and now it is fine.Wouldn’t it be a good idea for this site to have a nominated charity. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I would be happy to make a small donation as a gesture of thanks for people’s time.

I’m pleased you sorted it
Nominated charity? Not a good idea. Many people would feel obliged to donate whilst others would not support certain charities. Nah, not a good idea, instead we will carry on giving our time and knowledge for FREE. We’ve been doing that now for best part of 11 years and….. It works ! 😀

Thanks to you both and understand the feelings around the charities. My wife is insulin dependent diabetic so will give them an extra tenner next month.
Thanks again,Mark .Y.
