The customer said this machine made a high pitched noise and stopped. The display is dead. When I touch the on/off it beeps twice and then nothing. A new display module is €200ish and I dont want to get one without being sure thats the problem. Any ideas please ??

I wouldn’t bother with the display either as the main module in the base could be your problem? You’ve first gotta figure what caused the high pitched noise? Clearly something mechanical like the circulating pump may have gone AWOL or some such?
Time to delve in deeper methinks! 💡
