Had this integrated washer for just under 9 years.

In last 2 weeks, 2 issues have occurred
    – Set programme to 45 degree wash but machine changed to a 50 degree wash after starting. Resetting machine resulted in it reverting to 45 degree wash on next use but then changing to 50 wash from 45 again during subsequent use.
    – Yesterday I thought that machine had ended cycle but when I opened it, it was full of water and check water light was on.

I baled it out and checked and emptied the water pump enclosure. I took off the white cover and checked the pump impeller. It was stiff but turned. I made sure it turned without any issue and made sure there was nothing left that could stop it rotating, then replaced all the fittings before trying again.

The same thing happened again – the check water light was on and machine full of water. I emptied again and checked the pump impeller which was moving freely.

I have also tried switching the machine on and pulling the float up whist the door was open. The pump was turning and water partially filled the area where the impeller is situated.

I have disconnected the waste hose from its connection under the kitchen sink and tried putting a thin flexible drain Wire Drain Auger through it from that end. It went into the pipe for a distance of 2.1 metres before stopping so I am sure the the waste hose isn’t blocked from its connection under the kitchen sink.

As this is an integrated unit, it is not easy to remove it.

Are the 2 issues linked? What are likely cause(s)?

If this will be costly I am considering changing the machine given its age and presumed difficulty in removing it in 1st place (removed plinth and I can see that front feet are fixed on top of a large block of wood between the machine and kitchen floor

    Thanks
