Hi, hope someone can help on this.
The model is a Siemens SF25TO53, stainless steel, 450 wide with controls hidden on the top edge of the door; it’s about 12 years old and this is the first time it’s played up (but it has had a fairly easy life). I can’t find a circuit diagram or service manual anywhere, and it is doesn’t seem to have error codes.
Whenever the unit is switched on, the recirculation pump activates straight away; there is no water being allowed in, and it doesn’t seem to be activating the drain pump (even if the sump float switch in the base is activated manually). I have checked the pump, it seems fine, but no power is getting to it. I would assume that the pump would be activated at any time if the sump float switch is activated??
Is there some other control I don’t know about? Should the recirc pump be running from the off in all modes?
I’d be grateful for any ideas on this.
    Thanks
    Phil

First thing Phil, have you tried resetting the programme? (That’s with the switch on and pressing the 2nd & 4th buttons together, then close the door – it should turn off in 60 secs)

Hah! That did it! Thanks Martin; I was expecting the worst, and looking at replacement PCB controllers.. so you’ve saved me a lot of grief.
    Cheers
    Phil
