KeymasterCant get anywhere with this….the tube that runs inside the cavity from the bottom spray arm to the top basket part no. 298592…according to BSH website is the above part number….but when I fit it its short in the vertical height and the customer cant use all the height settings on the top basket because the connection bit to the top basket is about 1 inch lower than on the original part????if that makes sense…also the bit that comes back over the top basket fouls on items in the top basket????anyone got any idea about this as keep being told correct part but its different to original….bloomin house is miles from base and its costing me time & money……thanks Bosch!!!
Cheers Col

Presumably you have both the old part and the new to compare? If so and if it is indeed an inch too short then it must be the wrong part they’ve sent you?
Why do you want that part anyway, is the old one broken or something? I’ve never needed to change one and was just curious really? ๐

yes got both parts so can compare. Apparently its the only part they do and is supposed to be universal…but the top end is secured by a metal clip at the back of the case….but it doesnt reach now???…
the base is also a bearing for the bottom spray arm….ive replaced the spray arm and its still pretty wobbly im guessing both arm and bottom bit both worn…..as it is better with the new spray arm…but still not correct….
Any other ideas?Col

Then are both parts identical? If they are then I guess somehow you must be fitting it incorrectly? ๐

OK no its impossible to fit incorrectly…..and both parts are different as explained one shorter than other. New part doesnt reach the securing clip as explained… I received another part this morning this time ordered through Bosch directly, I let them find part using ENR and guess what…exactly the same as the other one that doesnt fit…….ill give up with this one I think….
Thanks for help

I don’t suppose you’ve got the actual Enr number wrong? That you want one to fit a 60cm machine but are ordering one that only fits a 45cm machine? Just a thought? ๐

No its a 60 cm appliance and it ENR trple checked as I had that thought first of all……ill fit the part but ill have to bend bracket to old top in place….im going to give up on it now as its cost me more than customer driving back and forward……

I reckon BSH have got the wrong part number and they keep supplying one to fit a 45cm in that case! :rolls:

Is a 45 cm any shorter in height then? I called them yesterday they spoke directly with a Bosch engineer who said its universal to fits most Bosch d//w if that is the case then its not very good as the top fixing will need to be bent in to hold it….and it will be poor really…..just doesnt seem right for Bosch to do that……if Bosch have got wrong part where do I go….all suppliers use their system…..

the bottom spray arm is wobbly and loose and doesnt turn even though no blockeages….., and it feels notchy if that makes sense? ive fitted new spray arm and its still loose but better…..im a bit of a perfectionist and felt it wiuld be best to replace bottom part as well which comes attached to tube etc….I could refit old part but thought it would be a no brainer …not so….lol

Bosch, for a while, produced two different height full size dishwashers.
If I recall the tall one was called something like โlarge, lard arsed, American sizeโ
It sounds to me like you have the tall one and are being sent the normal size recirc pipe. Are you sure the full Enr is correct? :duck:

I tried SL26231GB/12
It comes up with part number 350321 ๐ฏ
Could be a quickfinder cockup. :innocent:
Have a look at the BSH quickfinder online, I used the mobile version.
I cannot be sure it’s the right part without seeing it, but a bog standard sized sgs4332gb/17 has your 298592 fitted.
