Problem with this Dw is the m/c is underfilling, i have replaced metering tank, pressure unit and cir pump, tank was completely blocked and impellor seal had leaked. The intitial fault appeared no pressure, cir pump running but no arm movement. I have had this before usually the impellor has come away from the motor.

On this dw it has the large heater matrix style side tank, which fill fine. The water will come in from the aquastop for around ten secs to fill the sump through the pressure bucket, but the water in the matrix is not released into the machine, so when the cir pump kicks in the virtually no water at all in the sump. I have checked both re-gen valves, there is 240v at the valves, I have removed and cleaned but it still does not want to release the water into the wash!

Any ideas?

Have you metered the “dump” valve on the bottom of the side chamber ?.

There are two coils, one is the regen valve (normally rhs I think) and the other dumps the majority of the water into the tank.

IIRC you can remove the coil (twist fit) then withdraw the valve stem/spring/plunger unit. If the coil has a good circuit them check the plunger is free moving.

Just another thought, these fill the tub by draining the wash charge through the softener in which case is the softener resin free to move about?

ive checked both valves, and removed!

How will i check the resin as its sealed?

if power is supplied to the (good) solenoid and this operates the plunger to let the water fall out of the exchanger then you should see the resin beads rise to the top of the pot and move around slightly as the water percolates through 😉
