Siemens integrated Dishwasher door strings – done loads across the Bsh range no problems. Had one today thats been leaking from both the corners.
The door still drops further than 90 degrees and there is a bit of slack in the catch when closed, so not pulling in tight enough and leaks!
There is a slight bulge in the door inner panel where the hinge screw too wondering if the hinges have worn or bent when the string broke and door dropped?

Anyone had similar issues and what was the fix?

A child has used it as a step stool and bent the panel?

Office party? Had a couple where the hinges are bent. I’ve got one customer who has lived with bent hinges for two years, she puts the kitchen stool against the door!

If the door ropes/strings haven’t previously snapped , then I’d be pretty sure the bent inner door , if it’s adjacent to the hinges ,is the cause. Probably someone has fallen/stepped on the door when it was open.

One side had snapped! So replaced the kit and found still leaking.
It’s quite a heavy long door so to fit it they have had to overhang the top of the outer decor door above control panel by 3 inches, so the door can swing under.
You then get a filler strip below the worktop which eventually swells with the heat this prevents door from closing properly.

I will quote them for panel! Thanks for the replies.
