    hi all ive got this dishwasher which the door isnt shuttung very well and cust saying it pops open during a cycle. he ordered a new latch and receiver so i fit them even though i didnt think it was that and also have had baskets out and seal etc all ok but it still isnt shutting properly and i cannot see what could be causing it.
    Has anyone had this ? onlt thing im thinking is the inner dor panel but on a siemens id be surprised.

    check the door hinges. the plastic hinge piece can move ( item 0552 on diags part no 165296) this lowers the door enough to cause problems

    I know you say you’ve had baskets out, but did you try it with them out? I got suckered once by the big grab handle on lower basket. it had gradually bent outwards putting pressure on door which was ok until it heated up. simply bent it back inwards and problem solved. had it at least three times since.

    Or it could be the cupboard unit causing it not to close. Have you pulled the dishwasher out 1/2 an inch from the unit?

    thanks for the replies,yeah pulled machine out as it was close to the units and also tried with baskets out and still the same.ill have a loo at that hinge piece

    When the door nearly closed it should pull itself in. If it just kind of sits slightly ajar and needs really pushing closed , it may well be the inner panel has got bent , adjacent to hinges. If you look at lower outer edges of the inner door , they should be perfectly straight and flush with the side strip of the outer door . If they are bent , then my best guess would be that someone has fallen on the open door and bent the door inner.
