    Hi,
I have a Siemens SE26230GB/07 which stopped during the cycle and now won’t work. There was a small amount of dirty water under the door. Looking at the dishes inside I think it packed up during the rinse. It was off because it’s on a timer switch. When I turn the power on, the machine makes a very soft whirring noise and there is a flash of part of what looks like a 0 (zero) on the display. The whirring noise continues but nothing else seems to happen.

    Any thoughts much appreciated.

Check the pump (see your instruction booklet for access) it may just have got jammed with food debris or broken glass/crockery bits?

Once the pump is cleaned and clear, put the cover and filters back, ‘reset’ the programmer and try again 🙂

Thanks…we cleared the pump area but there’s still a low humming noise and a quick flash of the zero when you turn the machine on. I wasn’t quite sure what you meant by resetting …is that where you press two of the programme keys at the same time…if so which ones?
