Siemens Tumble Dryer WT46E386GB/02

I have the above mentioned dryer which has failed after approx 1 and a half years of ownership from new (now out of warranty of course!).
The machine is completely dead – no power lights, error messages or sounds. I have stripped it down and think it is the module….. Having read the very informative articles on the home page of this great site, I now question my rather amateur judgement.
I have put a volt meter across the main power at all stages from the supply. 240v is present at the plug, after the capacitor and directly at the main input to the module. The module is still completely dead though.
Is my diagnosis correct? A new module from Siemens is £145.00. Should I go ahead and does anyone know where I can purchase cheaper?
