Siemens vs Miele Dishwasher

Hi,

I am looking for a free-standing stainless steel dishwasher.
Ideally I would like something that is trouble free and long lasting.
I have been considering Siemens (I like the idea of a 5 year guarantee) or Miele (I have read they tend to be reliable).
I am hoping to spend less than £1000 but could flex the budget if it is worthwhile doing so.

Is it worth spending the extra on a Miele ? Do they tend to be more reliable than Siemens ?
Is it worth stretching the budget beyond the £1000?
Are there any other brands that people could recommend?

siemens are made by the BSH group and the motor units have a habit of failing so i would choose the Miele every time
