I’m not sure on this one? It could be motor brushes but I guess you’ll need to check? Also the usual, valve, heater and most important, the air pressure chamber of course. 😉

If brushes? 😕
What are they like anyway?…Have you checked for continuity through the motor?
‘Twas I that mentioned pressure chamber and they do get crudded up and can affect the pressure switch (empty/full) settings. 😯 . So a quick 5 second ‘flick it off and check it’ is worth hours of headscratching I shouldn’t wonder. 🙂
My gut feeling instinctively goes to the motor as the main suspect though I suggest a close look there worth your while. Although please don’t invest in a rear motor end frame on my say so only to find that’s not the problem…OK?
Try the Penguin45 method if the brushes are worn and you don’t want to burn your fingers over costings by just sticking pattern carbons in. 💡
Good luck and may the force be with you! 8)

Ahh, but if youre willing to get down & dirty with a pair of pattern Bosch brushes & a soldering iron, its suprising how you can beat the system.. if however it explodes, showering your punter in commutator segments… you aint seen me.. right? 😉
