Siemens washer/dryer door lock intermittent

Hi, I’ve got a 8yr old Siemens washer/dryer that is in good working order. Sometimes at the start of the cycle the machine complains the door is open. You just give the door a little extra push and the lock clicks shut and then the cycle goes fine. It’s only ever at the start of the cycle.

I’m going to replace the door seal as it is mouldy and leaking. Is there anything I could do at the same time to fix the door issue?

well the rubber is over £100 on siemans site and the lock is in the £75

this unit is made by Smeg for Siemans

so the lock should be
