    Hi,

    I have a Siemens washer/dryer (WD61392GB / 13) that has developed some problems.

Initially the problem manifested itself as the washing machine not filling so I cleaned the filter in the hose to make sure it wasn’t blocked. No Joy. At this point the machine would still empty and spin.

The filler pipe has some kind of electrical safety device on it at the supply end. So just in case that was faulty (Not entirely sure what it is supposed to do) I put a different filler pipe on without the device and tried again. No Joy.

I opened the top of the machine to see if there was anything loose / corroded etc. and found a dead mouse (It’s an outdoor utility room) lying across the terminals of what appears to be a cut off switch of some kind (Black with a small red button type affair in the middle). Mouse removed, I tried again, this time the machine started to fill but only took about half of the soap powder from the drawer and stopped. As there was now water in the machine I tried the empty cycle to get rid of it, the pump started ran for about 10 seconds and then stopped.

If I unplug the machine and let it stand for a while I can half fill and slightly empty the machine each time but nothing else. Though I haven’t tried the drying cycle.

Any assistance you could offer in diagnosing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks,

    Paul

Chances are before the mouse got fried it had chewed a wire or two somewhere on the harness. Mice love chewing PVC and copper wire……….

Thanks for the response, guess I’ll just take the rest of the panels off and start having a scan for broken wires! Joy of joys! 🙂

    Thanks Again,

    Paul
