ParticipantHello. Oh yes another problem!Siemens washing machine WXLS162GB/05 this time.
Not taking powder from l/h/s/ compartment- though I didn`t test this first. The dispenser top looked slightly black and mouldy so took that off and prized the plastic moulded insert-bit with the holes- from the dispenser top-result, not much of anything between the halves-damn! Reassembled everything to try it and water coming in to dispenser looks great. Tried last rinse and no water came in to middle compartment…..! Double valve seems to work as it fills on cotton wash first into soap draw A or 1 on the right then switches in to main soap powder B or 2 on the left hand side part of the draw-super! But no water, if set on last rinse programme goes in to the middle fabby C compartment. Original fault, including this one, was machine filled up but didn`t take away the soap powder.. both i/let solenoids- a double cold valve- seem to work. What is that flow meter sensor thing for between one half of the i/let valve and one nozzle of the soap box top; could that be the culprit- I did blow through this thing and it made a fan whirling noise? Anyone got a clue please??January 23, 2014 at 7:11 pm #408270Martin

Low water pressure by the sounds. On the final rinse BOTH valves are energised allowing the combined flow to clash and therefore flow into the centre section. Low pressure or only one valve operating would mean no flow to the centre section. The flow meter will not have any effect in this instance and should be disregarded.

Thanks Martin will investigate next week when the car is repaired so I can get there again………..it never ends!!
But if water pressure comes in to A and water pressure coming in to b are both good and there is no blockages, there isn`t,how can the double valve be at fault? I measured both valve solenoids with my meter and both are, or so it seems to be ok. Weird this one. Though you could be right and at that specific last rinse only one solenoid is triggered because of another fault elsewhere because I get fill in a then fill in b on last rinse but nothing happening together to put water in to fabby comp ..pcb?…oh my God £300+ fleecing finger singeing standard!!January 25, 2014 at 5:29 pm #408272sce

Anyone ever had this above fault before- went back today (by m/cycle) to have another look at the poxy thing. H20 pressure good through both halves of the double valve, nothing wrong with with soap disp top, only thing I can think of is there is a function that is missing i.e instead of filling for the fab c with both halves of the valve triggered it only does a fill to comp A and then to B but never in to fab c compartment because both valves are not triggered together.-Anyone else from Siemens or Bosch give me some more info please.
What exactly does the flow meter actually technically do being only connected to one valve to dispenser pipe? Anyone? -
