Siemens Washing Machine Extraklasse XLS 140 – Door open ?

Hi, I have the machine as above, which no longer wants to function and just bleeps and gives the message…Door open? I have obviously checked those things mentioned in the handbook associated with this message, but it still will not work.

The info is E-Nr WXLS140GB/01FD 8012 701060.

Any ideas apart from taking it down the tip?!

Door Interlock faulty OR Main Module Board? the most common faults!

IIRC that is an excellant model, and it deserves a second chance before being dumped.

Has the door been dodgey lately? As in, machine won’t start sometimes? ‘Door open’ message sometimes, but not other times?

No, no intermittent problems until yesterday when twice it had the same problem but a bit of fiddling, opening and closing etc. got it going. Today…. nothing!

That sounds like the interlock then; and that’s well worth doing 😀

Repairs@ for an engineer.

Or email the parts-master for a spare…

spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

…and if your doing it yourself, unplug the machine first :zap:

Does sound like door lock. If required p/no 182173 available form link below. Its got to be worth £30 odd quid to eliminate as GB said its an excellent model.
