Siemens washing machine F43 error

We have changed the worn brushes on this Siemens washing machine, model WM14S795GB/18, but we cannot cancel the error code. The usual way of cancelling the code is to go to position 6 hold the spin button move the timer to position 7 and then return the timer to the off position. This machine has two spin buttons a high and a low but holding them in any combination does not appear to work, also the start button does not illuminate. I have heard that sometimes the brushes will take out the module.
Does anyone know if there is a different way to reset the error codes on this module or are we looking at a replacement module?

With the dial on ‘off’ press and hold in the spin reduce (-spin) button. Turn dial one position clockwise and release button. That should put you in the ‘test’ mode.
Turn dial to off should (fingers crossed, 3 hail Mary’s etc) clear the error. 😀

Hi Martin, we have tried that but no further forward. It looks like the brushes have taken out the module, no matter what you try you cannot cancel the error code plus the start light does not flash.

Have you tried disconnecting the motor plug then trying the reset?
